A relaxed, quietly beautiful, bespoke family-run location just 15 minutes west of historic Cambridge, Childerley Long Barn is ideal for those looking for a venue celebrating individuality. Providing a fabulous informal setting for your wedding or event with its stunning Long Barn and magnificent gardens and grounds, Childerley offers the perfect backdrop.
We provide absolute exclusivity, giving you and your suppliers access the day before your event to set up the Barn to make it your own. Our small team is attentive and experienced, and we are here to work with you and your suppliers to offer help and advice to ensure everything goes to plan.
Our beautiful rustic 19th Century timber-framed barn, thought to be one of the longest barns of its type in England, provides separate areas for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
We can happily accommodate anything from 60 to 180 guests, with 80 - 120 being our average. Equally it can be an intimate space for 15, 30 or 60 guests. Wedding ceremonies can also be held in the gardens.
The Long Barn has an adjoining courtyard which provides a delightful outside space with garden games. There is also an option to hire the historic and romantic gardens of Childerley Hall for reception drinks and photos.
We have good availability in 2025, and some availability in late 2024.

Food and Drink
Food and drink are essential elements of any wedding. We work with a variety of excellent catering partners, each of whom can offer a variety of bespoke menus and some of which can provide more than just catering. They offer a superb front of house service, ensuring your day runs as smoothly as possible. We also recognise that on some occasions a specific type of cuisine is required, or you want to achieve a relaxed street-food vibe; in such cases we would be happy to discuss the option of outside catering. Drinks can be sourced through the Childerley Lists which offer a good range of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. Evening bars can be run either through your chosen caterer or through the in-house Childerley Bar Service.
